Daddy dressed up as a....actually I'm not sure what he was. Scary farmer I think. I was a cowgirl (it's the only costume I own...oh, except Dorothy...Mom - I still have that one). And we got Ethan into the chicken costume without any fussing, though he didn't trick or treat for long...too tired! Here's a pic of the whole family:
We had practiced the trick or treating process with Blythe beforehand. "Ring the doorbell, then what do you say?" "trick or treat". Then they give you candy, then what do you say? "thank you". Great! We forgot to tell her the part about taking only 1 or 2 pieces of candy. Girlfriend kept taking handloads until the giver was smart enough to pull away. At one house they had left a bucket on the porch. Blythe told Daddy to stay back while she went to that house. He wasn't paying attention and then looked back at her and she must have taken several handfuls. So needlesstosay, we have A LOT of candy...for Mom to eat. I better dust off that treadmill.
Here she is with all her candy:
And one last pic of her while out trick or treating (at a neighbor's house):

Even though my vote was for the flower, the skeleton's pretty cute :) Looks like she had a great time... and that's a nice pile of candy she collected!
